Lambeau field was named after Curly Lambeau who founded, played, and coached the Packers. Leambeau field was currently renovated added thousands of more seats and a bigger screen. This renovation has made Lambeau Field the largest stadium in Wisconsin beating out Camp Randall by about 500 seats. Lambeau Field is the third largest stadium in the NFL.
The Packers have one of the best fan support in the league. Every game at Lambeau has been sold out sine 1960 and 81,000 names remain on the waiting list for season tickets. Lambeau was voted in 2007 as the number-one stadium in game-day atmosphere and fan experience. In 2009 Lambeua was voted the Field of the Year.
